If you’ve found yourself stressed out while planning your wedding and tossed around the idea of eloping, you are not alone! Megan and Jonathan did just that for their wedding day. In the midst of all the pressure that comes along with planning a traditional wedding, these two decided to truly make the day about what is most important: each other. With a honeymoon to Hawaii already booked, they decided to turn it into their elopement trip! Their Honolulu elopement was full of laughter and tears, complete with a stunning backdrop.

We ask every couple we work with to share what they love about each other. This helps us get to know them and customize their ceremony to their love story. Megan and Jonathan’s answers were so sweet, we can’t help but share a bit of their responses!

Megan said, “He’s truly the best friend I’ve ever had. I love doing life with him. I know that no matter what life brings we can get through it together. I’ve known Jon since we were kids in high school. He has always been the same person to his core. The high school version of myself is totally freaking out that I get to marry Jonathan, this insanely cute guy from Spanish class.”

Jonathan said, “Megan is the sun to my shadow. She brings light, warmth, and happiness to my world. She brings out in me another side I had no idea existed. She’s so sweet, loyal, trustworthy, and very intelligent. She helps me see the world in different colors, not just black and white. She has helped me be a better man and it’s because of her that I have made it where I am today.”
