Ana and Douglas met through mutual friends when they were sophomores in high school. Ana was going around taking photos of everyone when Douglas finally worked up the nerve to ask her for her AIM screen name so he could get copies of the photos. So very millennial of them! They started chatting online, and haven’t stopped talking since.  After holding off on wedding planning during the pandemic, these high school sweethearts decided that they waited long enough! After 12 years together and a bit of stressful wedding planning it was time to make it official. They decided that a Hawaii beach elopement was the right call, and we couldn’t agree more!

We always get to know our couples to customize their ceremony script, but when it came time to exchange vows, Ana and Douglas took it to the next level. They decided to play “rock, paper, scissors” to decide who would read their vows first! It was such a cute impromptu decision, and was perfect for making the ceremony truly them. The only thing missing was their beloved Corgi, Charlie. Don’t worry, we found a way to include him at the end!

“Having Chelsea as our photographer and Alana as our officiant was the best decision we made for our special day! They are hands down some of the sweetest people. When we finally met in person, it felt like we already knew each other and got right to it. They made us feel so comfortable and were the perfect “bridesmaids”. We couldn’t be more thankful for these two and we’ll always have these pictures to look back at. 10/10 would recommend!!”
